Zug, Switzerland – November 2007 In 2006 the European Outdoor Group became a member of FESI (Federation of European Sporting Industries) with the aim of ensuring that the outdoor sector had a voice within the European government lobbying system in Brussels.

FESI is an efficient and well placed organisation which actively lobbies the European government. Mark Held the Secretary General of the European Outdoor Group has recently been appointed to the Board of FESI.

‘FESI provides an invaluable service to the sports and outdoor industry and membership of the board will allow the European Outdoor Group to play a greater role in helping this work for the benefit of FESI and EOG members,’ commented Mark Held.

The election of Mark Held as a member of the FESI Board will help strengthen the European Outdoor Group’s position. FESI Board members serve for a period of three years.
