Race to Zero - important webinar

As you are hopefully aware, the EOG Board has decided to hold a vote at the next General Assembly in November, on whether joining the Race To Zero by the end of 2024 should be mandatory for the EOG membership.

The Race To Zero is a global campaign, backed by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), which aims to rally organisations to take rigorous and immediate action to halve global emissions by 2030 and deliver a healthier, fairer zero carbon world.

The Race To Zero offers several credible initiatives that are suitable for all organisation types within the EOG membership (SME, retail etc). It has been identified as the most appropriate way forward for our sector to meet necessary climate goals, and adds third party credibility to the efforts of our members. We believe that the Race To Zero will help members to really “move the needle”, and will demonstrate to every observer that the outdoor industry is not greenwashing.

In September, we will host a webinar designed to give members the necessary information and answer any questions you may have, BEFORE the Assembly and vote in November.

The webinar will be held on three different dates, hopefully accommodating various schedules, and we highly recommend all members join one of these calls.
