Retail Meets Brand Data

Work-stream to develop a standardised back bone for data exchange between brands and retailers enabling with a clear focus on B2C/PIM data.

Retail meets Brand is the title for a project series that the EOG facilitates, in which retailers and brands are the driving force. We invite brands to discuss pre-competitive market challenges with the aim of getting support and to boost the strengths of the outdoor industry.The implementation of the topics within the projects offers the members the opportunity to choose and spend time on their focus area. Our current live projects are the Single Use Plastics initiative and RMB Data.The intention: Retailers and brands agree that data exchange processes aren’t optimised yet. By following the vision of a common standard for the sports and outdoor industry, we are pushing the dialogue forward. It seems possible to build a solid foundation on existing structures, and to create a standardised backbone for the basics of data exchange regarding EDI (B2B) and PIM (B2C) solutions, which will help to accelerate the data exchange processes between retailers and brands.
