Thanks for you interest in joining the European Outdoor Group.
To ensure the work we do is always relevant to the whole association, there are certain criteria* that those organisations who wish to join must meet.
We offer two categories of membership, (decided by the membership committee and the Board members on application).
Both streams are required to sign the
sustainability charter and to align with industry values, we also ask that Members now commit to a
UNFCC Race to Zero initiative.
Associate members do not have voting rights at the annual assembly and are not required to sign up to a Race to Zero initiative.
Members: European outdoor brands, retailers and technology providers
*criteria for membership is:
an outdoor retailer, brand or technology provider.
Has a European turnover in excess of €5 million.
Formally trades in three or more European countries.
By the end of 2026, EOG Members must** commit*** to a UNFCCC Race to Zero initiative,or set independent commitments aligned with the EOG Reference Framework
Associated Members: National associations, and other organisations relevant to the value chain and outside of the above membership criteria.
*criteria for membership is demonstrated relevance to the outdoor value chain (ascertained via membership committee)
**does not include Associated Membership
***“Commit” means either full entry into an initiative, OR, a public statement or a formal internal agreement communicated to the EOG Secretariat.
(Net-zero targets (as defined by SBTi/RTZ) are not required; however, long-term emission-reduction targets to 2050, consistent with the Paris Agreement, are required for large organisations and encouraged for SMEs)
If the above criteria are fulfilled then organisations are eligible to apply for membership of the EOG*
