Sustainability Strategy Course
The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has launched an online study programme to help companies fully integrate sustainability into their business plans and culture. Developed in partnership with outdoor and sustainability consultancy Peak 63, the EOG Sustainability Strategy Course is a self-study course in five parts, designed to embed policy and action into long-term goals and strategy development. The programme is free to EOG members and at a significant discount to national association members, and is available to book now.
The EOG Sustainability Strategy Course has been tailored for small to mid-sized companies and refers to tools and case studies that relate to the current state of play in how businesses are addressing sustainability. The course was developed with the outdoor and sports sector in mind, but the content is relevant to any SME. By successfully completing the course, organisations will emerge with a corporate sustainability strategy that has wide acceptance, and with a structured approach to future challenges and ongoing transitional activities. The five parts of the course take those who complete it from their current status, through to strategy formulation and choice of sustainability tools, and on to engagement and concrete sustainability action.
Dr. Katy Stevens, EOG head of CSR and sustainability, comments:
“Outdoor businesses have been really proactive in recent years at putting sustainability front and centre of many aspects of our industry, but translating that good intent into genuine, long-term action is a big and complex challenge. The EOG Sustainability Strategy Course is a bespoke programme for outdoor firms, developed by people who have a deep understanding of the industry and its particular requirements and nuances. We’ve worked closely with Peak 63 and a lot of careful planning has gone into developing the programme and testing it. We’re delighted to be able to publicly launch the course and offer it to colleagues throughout the industry.”
Joel Svedlund, managing partner at Peak 63
“The course is based on a proven method, which we have further developed into a program for small and medium sized companies in the outdoor industry and has been completed by several outdoor companies. Together with EOG we saw an opportunity to make the content more accessible in our industry to help companies accelerating their sustainability transition”
The course combines texts and illustrations with videos containing fact-based learning and inspirational examples from outdoor industry brands.
"If you’re looking at starting your sustainability work or transforming good intentions into action that have an effect, this is the program you can’t afford to miss.
