ECHA has prepared a draft mapping of PFAS uses to support the upcoming consultation on the draft opinion of the Committee for Socio-Economic Analysis (SEAC) concerning the PFAS restriction proposal.

The consultation will feature sector-specific questions across 14 sectors plus PFAS manufacturing, aiming to collect stakeholder input at the appropriate use level. Stakeholders are encouraged to consult this document when starting to gather information relevant to specific uses.

A more detailed draft use mapping will be published after SEAC’s December meeting, with the final version to be made available when the consultation opens in spring 2026.
