We would like to draw your attention to a targeted European Commission survey on the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) for European SMEs.

The survey will help inform the Commission's ongoing work on the secondary legislation under the ESPR, with a particular focus on the practical implications of ecodesign requirements for SMEs, including topics such as product robustness, recyclability, recycled content, environmental footprint requirements, implementation barriers and associated costs.

If your organisation qualifies as an SME, we strongly encourage you to complete the survey. Individual company responses are particularly valuable, as they provide the Commission with real-world evidence of the opportunities and challenges businesses are facing as they prepare for implementation.

To support you, we have attached both the blank survey, so you can see the questions, as well as FESI's draft response, which reflects the industry's previously agreed positions. You are welcome to use this as a reference when preparing your own submission, adapting the responses where appropriate to reflect your organisation's own experiences and perspectives.
