Invitation to special Brussels event hosted by EOCA and EU Green Week

Invite below to an event hosted by EOCA

We would love to invite you to join us in Brussels on 3rd June for "Investing in Nature: How Investment in Freshwater Ecosystems is Essential for the EU’s Future Competitiveness"

a special event hosted by the European Outdoor Conservation Association - EOCA - in partnership with EU Green Week.

The event will take place Wednesday 3rd June - 15:00-19:00 – Ocean Room, Mundo Matongé (Mundo-b), Rue d'Edimbourg 26, 1050 Ixelles, Belgium

Europe's freshwater ecosystems are under pressure, and the stakes for our climate, biodiversity and economic future couldn't be higher. This afternoon brings together leading voices from conservation, policy and industry with a focus that shifts from policy threats and opportunities, to investment in protecting and restoring nature. With keynotes, panels and interactive discussions presenting a vision of a different way forward for Europe’s freshwater ecosystems, we would love for you to be part of the conversation.

Featuring contributions from:

Claire Baffert-WWF Europe, Alexandra Pimor-Earth Law Centre, Pascale Moreau-Ohana Public Affairs, Jon Nash - Nikwax, Antje Fehling - Bluesign, Marieke Vogt - WET Tirol, Dan Yates – EOCA Conservation

The session will culminate with a keynote and a film screening by WET – Wildwasser erhalten Tirol. Highlighting community and NGO led efforts to save the pristine Platzertal and Oetz valleys in the Austrian Alps from destructive and outmoded hydropower development.

Followed by networking drinks.

We hope to see you there.
