New ECHA CHEM update – regulatory data on chemicals now available
We would like to inform you that the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has expanded its ECHA CHEM database to now include regulatory data on chemicals. This important update provides greater visibility into EU authorities’ regulatory activities and their outcomes, supporting transparency and helping stakeholders like you to stay compliant.
The new release covers:
- REACH Regulation – restrictions, authorisation list, SVHCs, evaluation processes
- Drinking Water Directive (DWD) – European positive lists
- CLP Regulation – harmonised classification and labelling (Annex VI)
- POPs Regulation – lists of restricted and proposed substances
This development is particularly relevant for brands and retailers sourcing or using chemical-based materials, as it helps you track substances under review and anticipate potential regulatory changes.
ECHA CHEM will gradually replace the old Search for chemicals pages. You can explore the updated database here.
